Single Cone Skimo

Ski mountaineering is the ultimate winter activity for us!

Yesterday we climbed up Single Cone which involved hiking up on skis before carrying them up the steeper stuff, and then we left the skis at the base of the summit ridge and climbed to the top with ropes and crampons. Coming down involved abseiling down the top bit and then collecting our skis and skiing all the way back down to the carpark. An awesome day out!
